They are women at work, and your support made it possible!

Graduates of The Grooming Project’s inaugural class in spring 2016 have jobs – good paying ones! – at grooming salons across the city. If you want to see the results of your involvement with The Grooming Project, here’s where to find them. If you’re in their neighborhood, we know they’d love to see you and your dog as they build their client base:

Danielle Simpson started out at the PetSmart in the Ward Parkway Shopping Center, but now has a part-time grooming job that requires fewer bus trStudents and Kidsansfers at Dog Pawz in the Crossroads district. As her client base grows, so will her hours.

Jessica Smith has a grooming gig at Too Doggone Cute in Parkville.

Tanisha Davis and Jennifer Rayburn are groomers at Petco in North Kansas City.

Christine Banks serves Kansas-side dog grooming customers at Empire Pets in Mission.

And Shay Turner is weighing multiple job offers! We’ll let you know which she chooses.

Will we miss seeing them daily, as we have since the first day of our first class in January? Of course.

But we’re thrilled they’re able to work toward their and their children’s future dreams – and keep Kansas City pups perfectly coiffed!
