Christmas Adopt-a-Family Registration Now Open

Want to make the Christmas season a little brighter for one of our families? Our Adopt-a-Family program pairs our students and their children with local supporters who provide Christmas gifts and, in turn, encouragement! Individuals and groups are welcome to sign up to adopt our families!

Check out our first magazine, GROOMING, LOVE AND HOPE!

You’ll hear from some of our brave graduates, hard working students, and our staff who make our unique program possible.

Our first family residence facility is now open, thanks to generous donors!

A dream is now a reality, thanks to our incredibly generous donors! Our 6 family transitional living residence is complete and ready for move-in! Be sure to watch this video tour of our beautiful new building, and hear from Jarrod Sanderson, our Chief Operations Officer, about the inspiration for this new facility!

“To ensure that kids thrive and succeed from birth onward, we must simultaneously address the obstacles facing their parents.”

Empowering the Parent to Empower the Child (EPEC) is a 501c3 organization dedicated to reducing generational poverty in Kansas City.

Through our state-certified grooming school and our Lee's Summit grooming salon, we train struggling parents to be pet groomers and salon managers, both in-demand, living-wage trades.
